Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs!

How do we know dinosaurs existed? This exciting theme answers that question as it delves into the idea of fossilised material. We introduce the work of paleontologists and discuss fossils of both dinosaurs and other animals  that were found in Australia. We then look at the importance of fossil care and discuss the Wollemi pine tree – Australia’s link to dinosaurs. Lastly we discuss the size and anatomical differences between the triceratops, the tyrannosaurus rex and the pteranadon. Building on this knowledge, we discuss how their anatomical makeup dictated what they ate and how they might have protected themselves.
